The RPM Motorsport Ford GT emerged on top in final pre-race weekend testing at Donington Park today, with driver Alex Mortimer more than four-tenths ahead of his nearest Avon Tyres British GT Championship rival.
Mortimer, who won in a Ford GT at Snetterton last year, was having his first official British GT run of the ’09 season and will partner Philip Walker in the car in Sunday’s two-hour endurance race at Donington.
Rain showers prevented all but one of the nine cars testing from improving on the times set in the dry morning session.
