08/05/2005 Britnell and Stockton win wet race at Croft

New team Motorbase Performance had a great start to their 2005 season with victory in the second race in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup at Croft on Sunday afternoon. The race was started under wet conditions and the rain continued throughout the race, getting heavier at times.

Oliver Bryant in the Team Aero Morgan led for most of the race, until Chris Stockton overtook Bryant in traffic heading towards Tower. Bryant however managed to hold on and finish the race in second place.

The Damax Ferrari 360 of Miles Hulford and Jamie Smyth was unlucky in Saturdays race after losing the ABS and going off into the barriers, had a better race today. Miles Hulford had a flying stint, which saw him running in fourth position when coming into the pit stops. Smyth managed to overtake Martin Rich (Team Parker Racing) and maintained third position until the end.

Marco Attard and Nick Adams in the second Damax Ferrari 360 finished in fourth place, followed by the Porsche of Martin Rich and Julian Westwood (Team Parker Racing) and Piers Masarati and Dimitris Deverikos (Tech 9) who were struggling throughout the race due to a wrong choice of tyres.
