Team WFR have announced an all British line-up of drivers to pilot the team’s two Ginetta's in the 2012 British GT Championship.
Jody Firth and Warren Hughes, who led the team to the Speed Euroseries Championship in 2011, return to the fold and are joined by newcomers Jody Fannin and Riki Christodoulou; driver pairings have yet to be decided.
Team WFR Managing Director Myles Schofield said, “We have taken our time to find the drivers that we think will give us our best chance of success and develop the two cars into potential championship winning machinery.
“We tested a number of drivers who we would like to thank for their time but we firmly believe this is the best possible group of drivers to take us back into the British GT Championship. It strikes the right balance of youth and experience but still represents the best driving talent regardless of age.
“We are returning to a championship where we have enjoyed success in the past and though there may be a little catching up to do we aim to be competitive from the off when the lights go out at Oulton Park in a month’s time.”
The 2012 British GT Championship kicks off at Oulton Park on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
