Reigning British GT4 champion Ross Gunn has been selected to join the prestigious BRDC SuperStar roster for the upcoming season.
The 19-year-old Aston Martin Racing factory ace moves up to Beechdean Motorsport’s senior squad this term as co-driver to GT3 champ Andrew Howard. He’ll be helped along the way by the BRDC which only promotes the 12 most talented youngsters to its flagship SuperStars programme each year.
The Club’s support extends to training programmes as well as coveted BRDC membership and access to its esteemed members and business network. The High Wycombe resident will also receive help with mental training, career guidance, team building skills, sponsorship advice, media and sales training, PR and marketing, motorsport seminars and workshops with BRDC members.
Gunn said: “It is a great honour to be selected as a BRDC SuperStar. It is another great opportunity for me, and I now need to make the most of it.
“I am looking forward to having the BRDC’s assistance and encouragement during the year to help push my on and off track performance with Beechdean and Aston Martin Racing. It’s something I am very proud of. I would like to thank Tim [Harvey] and the BRDC for this fantastic opportunity.
Former BTCC champion, British GT race winner and BRDC SuperStars Director Tim Harvey added: “Ross has already proved his talent and looks destined for a long and successful career. He has all the ingredients required of a professional racing driver and is a pleasure to work with.”
This year’s British GT Championship kicks off at Brands Hatch on April 16/17.
