Sunoco Race Fuels are supplied by Anglo American Oil Company Ltd's competition division, which also distributes Sunoco Race Fuels in Europe and the Middle East via exclusive distributors. Sunoco Race Fuel is the choice for more than 20 different race series across the UK and Europe. With an established reputation for quality and performance, Sunoco Race Fuels powered the entire 2017 British GT grid in a partnership that also saw branding feature on all cars and drivers’ overalls, as well as trackside signage. The same deal will continue in 2018
As an added bonus, all British GT drivers were eligible to score Sunoco Whelen Challenge (GT3 Pro and GT4 Pro) or Sunoco 240 Challenge (GT3 Am and GT4 Am) points that counted towards Daytona 24 Hours prize drives. Following in the footsteps of Seb Morris, who claimed the Sunoco Whelen Challenge title in 2016, is 2017 British GT4 champion Stuart Middleton.
He was the first British GT4 driver to claim the 'senior’ prize, while the 17-year-old also became the youngest to win any Sunoco Challenge title. 2017’s GT3 champion Rick Parfitt Jnr continued the theme by becoming the first British GT driver in any class to win the Sunoco 240 Challenge. Doing so sealed his place in the Daytona 24 Hours’ official four-hour support race.
