Experienced GT driver John Hartshorne and BTCC race winner Ronan Pearson will share GBR Stratton's Aston Martin Vantage GT4 this season.
The new team, which combines the expertise of Graham Brunton Racing and Stratton, initially confirmed its British GT programme in December, albeit without naming drivers.
In Hartshorne it has signed one of the most experienced amateur GT drivers racing anywhere in the world today. The 68-year-old contested Le Mans as recently as 2024 and has been a regular across the European and Asian Le Mans Series paddocks in recent years. He is also no stranger to racing Aston Martins in British GT after last doing so in 2014, while his first appearance domestically came in 2002 at the wheel of a TVR Tuscan.
"I am so pleased to be joining GBR Stratton for my first British GT campaign for many years," he said. "To be driving with the talent that is Ronan, a BTCC race winner, makes it even more exciting!"
Pearson, meanwhile, moves from tin tops to GTs after spending the last three years in BTCC with the Toyota Gazoo Racing UK and Bristol Street Motors Hyundai squads. The 24-year-old former Clio Cup champion will be up against old sparring partner Colin Turkington, who is also making his British GT4 debut this season.
“I am absolutely ecstatic to be making my debut in the British GT Championship with GBR Stratton Motorsport," he said. "This change of career path has me incredibly motivated for success and I feel extremely lucky to be working with some great people who have really been in my corner through every step so far.
"My first season in rear-wheel-drive machinery is going to be a big learner but one that has been in my sights for some time now and this welcome change couldn’t come at a better time with the opportunity that I now have.
"I have to thank every one of my incredible sponsors and supporters for helping make this happen. This year will not disappoint.”
Team manager Graham Brunton added: "Our team at GBR Stratton have worked very hard behind the scenes and closely with Jonny Adam to help us understand the car we are working with. We’re really all buzzing to get started and get the show on the road!
"It’s exciting to bring this driver pairing to British GT with different levels of experience but both working towards the same goal."
Silverstone hosts the joint British GT/Ginetta media day on March 31 before both championships return to the same venue for their opening rounds in April.
