+ Silverstone moves to mid-August; Donington Decider returns
+ Ginetta’s UK championships again feature at all domestic events
Snetterton will host the British GT Championship’s season opener next year, while the blue riband Silverstone 500 moves to mid-August.
The 2027 calendar was revealed during SRO Motorsports Group’s annual CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa press conference earlier today.
British GT’s other four current circuits – Oulton Park, Spa-Francorchamps, Brands Hatch and Donington Park – also feature. The date and venue of pre-season’s media day will be revealed in due course.
Season 35 begins with four one-hour sprint races split between Snetterton and Oulton. The Norfolk venue will host British GT’s curtain raiser for the first time ever on April 24/25 before two more races take place on May’s final bank holiday weekend.
It’s then on to Belgium for the season’s first two-hour enduro at Spa Speedweek. As ever, the event precedes the world’s biggest GT race: the 24 Hours of Spa.
Silverstone’s three-hour race moves to high summer before Brands Hatch and Donington – which returns to its traditional ‘Decider’ slot – close out the eight-race campaign in September and October, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ginetta’s three UK series – Juniors, GT Academy and GT Championship – will continue to support British GT at all five of its domestic events. The final calendars for these categories, which also feature standalone races elsewhere, will be confirmed at a later date.
