Late changes see Adam and Macdonald join Snetterton entry list

Jonny Adam and Dean Macdonald will make their British GT returns this weekend following two late changes to Snetterton’s entry list.

The Scots are respectively joining John Hartshorne in GBR Stratton’s Aston Martin GT4 and Steven Lake in the Orange/JMH McLaren GT3.

Macdonald is a McLaren factory driver who predominantly competes in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS with Garage 59. But his formative years were spent in British GT, first across three seasons in the GT4 class before joining 2 Seas for his maiden GT3 campaign in 2020.

The car he shares with Lake moves to the Pro-Am class from Silver-Am.

Adam, meanwhile, requires no introduction. However, the four-time GT3 champion and Aston Martin factory driver has never contested a British GT4 race. This weekend will be his 125th and 126th starts in the series.

He’ll make them with the team founded by his father-in-law, Graham Brunton, whose son Craig now manages the team. Adam last raced for GBR at the Walter Hayes Trophy in 2009.

Sunday will also be his first competitive GT4 race since he won the Britcar 24 Hours at Silverstone alongside Beechdean co-drivers Andrew Howard, Ross Gunn and Jamie Chadwick in 2015.
