> Free practice 2 results
Glynn Geddie posted the fastest time in this afternoon's British GT free practice run at Brands Hatch, sending the #7 Team Parker Bentley machine to the top of the order in the final session before qualifying.
The Scottish driver's best time of 1m25.827s was a tenth better than anyone else could manage around the Kent circuit, ensuring Geddie and teammate Ryan Ratcliffe the best possible result ahead of today's most important session.
Phil Keen was second in the #72 Barwell Lamborghini, backing up his impressive P1 from opening practice. Indeed, Keen's morning effort could not be topped during the 60-minute afternoon outing, ensuring the Englishman ultimate practice bragging rights.
Dennis Lind was third-quickest in the #18 WPI entry he shares with Michael Igoe, bringing the Lamborghini into the mix ahead of qualifying. Rob Bell put the #22 Balfe McLaren fourth, while points leader Jonny Cocker completed the top five in his #69 Barwell Lamborghini.
The GT4 order was led by Tom Canning in the #97 TF Sport Aston Martin, with the similar machine of Optimum Motorsport taking second spot. GT4's leading Pro-Am runner was the #88 GT Marques Porsche, which had Dino Zamparelli at the wheel for its best lap. The class remains highly competitive – not to mention unpredictable – ahead of qualifying.
This will begin at 16.30, with grid slots decided by two aggregate-time sessions each for GT3 and GT4 runners. The weekend will culminate with tomorrow's two-hour race, which is set to go green at 13.00 BST.
