FCA authorised and regulated investment provider, Intelligent Money, will become the British GT Championship’s title sponsor from 2020.
The Intelligent Money British GT Championship’s updated official logo and colour scheme, which incorporates elements of both the series and sponsor’s existing designs, will be rolled out online and across social media during pre-season. This is supplemented by additional highly visible trackside and on-car branding, which will be seen for the first time during the championship’s Media Day at Snetterton on March 3.
This includes Intelligent Money-branded windscreen banners, which will replace the florescent yellow and pink designs first used in 2018. GT3 entries can now be easily identified by their predominantly white banner, while the GT4 variant features a black background.
These will be particularly useful for fans watching trackside and at home on britishgt.com, which will again stream live coverage of all nine races.
Specialising in private client services, Intelligent Money manages a range of high-performing investment portfolios for individuals eager to energise their pensions, ISAs and general investments. The company has been entrusted with over £2-billion of client money since it was founded in 2002.
To celebrate the agreement, a limited-time discount is now available for new customers enlisting Intelligent Money’s services. Fans can use promo code IMBGTC to access the half-price set-up fee of just 0.75% and remove the £100,000 minimum investment requirement when applying online at www.intelligentmoney.com/privateclients.
Julian Penniston-Hill, Intelligent Money Chief Executive: “We were very excited when approached by British GT as the synergies between the championship and Intelligent Money could not be stronger. In motorsport, and especially GT racing, teamwork is a critical component of maximising performance without taking unnecessary risks. And it’s the same when Intelligent Money provides high performing, fully managed pensions/SIPPs, ISAs and general investment accounts.
“We are therefore delighted to associate our services with the sport’s top manufacturers, teams and drivers by becoming title sponsor of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship from 2020 onwards.
“There is also some great internal team rivalry at IM as most of the manufacturers competing in British GT are also represented in our own garages, so this was not just about corporate sponsorship for us, but also an opportunity to get Intelligent Money fully involved with a championship we are truly passionate about. This is also demonstrated by Intelligent Money’s sponsorship of the finance section on PistonHeads, a community bound by its love of performance cars.”
Lauren Granville, Championship Manager: “On behalf of SRO Motorsports Group I am delighted to unveil Intelligent Money as British GT’s new title sponsor for 2020. As one of the UK’s premier championships it’s fantastic to have a partner that shares our vision of excellence – I am certain this new association will prove beneficial to both IM and British GT. We look forward to working with Julian and his team throughout the season.”
The 2020 Intelligent Money British GT Championship campaign kicks off at Oulton Park over Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (April 11 & 13).
