TF Sport was founded in January 2014 by former BTCC and British GT racer Tom Ferrier, who successfully managed the leading Scuderia Vittoria team from its inception in 2010.

The team made its British GT Championship debut four years later with both GT3 and GT4 Aston Martin entries. It understandably found the going tough in the senior class but excelled in GT4 where Devon Modell and Andrew Jarman combined to finish second in the final standings.  

The latter stepped up to the GT3 class with TF Sport as part of an expanded two-car entry. And having found its feet over teh first half of the year arguably became the team to beat over the latter, culminating in its first victory and one-two finish at the Donington season finale.

Derek Johnston, who scored that historic first win alongside Matt Bell, remains with TF Sport in 2016 to partner reigning GT3 champion Jonny Adam. Its second V12 Vantage will be driven by 2008 British GT title winner Jon Barnes and long-time co-driver Mark Farmer.
