Aussies Buchan and Campbell complete Rodin’s Ferrari entry

Australian Silver-Am pairing Josh Buchan and Cameron Campbell will share Rodin Motorsport’s Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo this season.

The renowned single-seater specialists shocked many by announcing a British GT programme with the Prancing Horse back in December. Now, just 24 hours before the championship reveals its provisional full-season entry list, the team can finally confirm its drivers for the forthcoming campaign.

Neither are household names in the UK. But with Buchan, especially, Rodin appear to have unearthed a potential hidden gem.

The Silver-graded driver makes his full-season GT3 debut this year after achieving much success down under, first in the Australia Touring Car Series – a championship he won in 2023 and ’24 – and then Monochrome GT4 Australia. He is also the reigning TCR Australia champion.

He and Campbell will split their time between Britain and Australia where they are also racing a Ferrari in the domestic GT World Challenge powered by AWS championship with Zagame Motorsport. Phillip Island hosted the opening round last weekend.

“This is the stuff you pinch yourself over, being able to compete with one of the biggest teams in European motorsport in general, let alone it being their first foray into GT cars,” said Buchan. “My relationship with Rodin Cars goes back a few years now, it's a brand I’m hugely passionate about and have built a real bond with the crew in New Zealand and I can't wait to extend that into the UK and continue my international racing journey.”

Am co-driver Campbell only made his first GT appearance last season when he finished third overall in Ferrari Challenge Australasia.

“To be joining Rodin’s first official programme in GT cars is hugely exciting and builds on our already existing relationship off track,” he said. “Adding this to our existing GT World Challenge Australia races also in the 296 GT3 means we are essentially doubling ours and the team’s learning process and will give us an excellent base to go and achieve some strong results.”

The Ferrari was seen testing at Silverstone last week and will be present at media day tomorrow. Only Buchan is making the lengthy trip from south Australia to Northamptonshire, however…
